WHERE ARCHITECTURE MEETS LITERATURE
A life, well read.
The Archive is not a building that keeps books. It is a way of living arranged around reading, in Dubai Land Residence Complex. Studios to three bedroom residences from AED 666,000, wrapped around a two storey library of ten thousand books, delivered by Imtiaz Developments for a Q3 2028 handover.
“A life is measured not in square feet, but in what you have taken the time to understand.”

Chapter One
A Life, Well Read
The Archive is built for a certain kind of attention: the people who read past midnight, who go far into one thing rather than briefly across many. Most homes measure the view. This one measures how far a chapter takes you. It is not a building that keeps books, but a way of living arranged around reading, where the quiet hours are the ones that count.
Every element follows from that idea, from the two storey library at the entrance to the reading lamp fixed exactly where your hand already reaches. It is a home designed to fit the life being lived in it, rather than one that asks the life to adjust.
Chapter Three
Come Home Through a Library
Already, bookmarked.
You do not arrive through a lobby. Two storeys of shelves rise from the ground floor, wrapped by a spiral stair, holding ten thousand books meant to be read rather than admired. The front desk itself is built from books, stacked and bound, standing where a check in counter usually would. Most residents mean only to pass through. Most stop.
This is the signature of The Archive, and the reason the building carries its name: the collection is the first thing you meet, before you have even reached your door.
Chapter Four
A Room That Reads You Back
Every residence assumes you own books, and intend to own more. A shelf waits for the collection. A reading lamp is fixed where your hand already reaches. A deep chair sits where the room goes dark and the skyline arrives in the glass. In the kitchen, a shelf is built into the same wall as the coffee machine, holding space for the pause before breakfast. In the bedroom, a shelf runs the length of the wall, close enough to reach without leaving the bed.
The Writer’s Room
Off the library, a smaller room holds a desk and a door that closes properly, with nothing else asking for attention. Some residents will read here. A few will finally write something.
The Reading Lounge
A lounge for solitude that asks nothing of you, built for company of one or two, close enough to the library that nothing has to be carried far.
The Reading Salon
On the roof, a salon with a fireplace and deep seating for the guest you bring, with a firepit and water feature outside for the cool months.
Chapters Five & Six
The Body Keeps the Mind. The Outdoors, Read Slowly.
A gym sits beneath a lattice of gold and glass, treadmills facing the skyline, shaped by Imtiaz’s Raw Theory health philosophy that treats wellbeing as a daily ritual rather than a destination. Above it, a pool holds still long enough to catch the whole city in it, keeping exactly the pace you brought with you.
At the top of the building the garden continues, with a rooftop terrace, a barbecue lounge, and an outdoor cinema. At ground level, a lush garden runs the full length of the plot, with floating cabanas over a shallow water feature, a stretch of grass, and a mini golf course for the evenings that do not call for a book at all. The property is pet friendly by design, with dedicated areas for pets and for the youngest residents.
Chapter Two
A Short Passage
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road opens at the door. Within a short drive sit the largest library in the region, the district where Dubai designs its ideas, the campuses where the next generation is taught, and the towers where the work gets done. This is not the edge of the city; it is the middle of everything worth reaching, and all of it sits inside twenty minutes.
